The First Sunday of Advent was a special celebration for three teachers from Campion College, Gisborne. Graduates, Karyn Sadler, Mark Naden and Laura Cooney received their Diploma of Religious Studies – Religious Education Stream, and a special blessing from Monsignor Frank Eggleton. Special thanks to Paul McGuiness, Campion College principal, for his ongoing support for teachers working towards a qualification in Religious Education.
Congratulations to Angela Moeke, the DRS at St Patrick’s Catholic School, Taupo. On 11 December Angela graduated with a Diploma of Religious Studies in Religious Education. Angela is pictured with Monsignor Trevor Murray and the St Patrick’s Catholic Character leaders.
Congratulations to Arama Pou (Ngāpuhi, Samoa). Arama is a TCI graduate and on 11 December he graduated from Waikato University with a BA in Māori Studies. In 2018 he will begin teacher training in Christchurch while working as an assistant house master at St Bede’s College. He is pictured with Paul Shannon Religious Education Advisor for the Hamilton Diocese, and Cynthia Piper, TCI lecturer and Hamilton Site Coordinator.
