To ensure people thoughout New Zealand have access to courses
TCI offers face to face classes in all New Zealand dioceses. Click here for a list of our teaching sites.
As well as teaching courses in the main centres, Hamilton diocese offers courses in Gisborne, Rotorua and Tauranga; Christchurch diocese offers course in Greymouth, Timaru, Temuka and Ashburton. Check the timetables for courses in your area.
We offer short online courses called Faith Updates which take about 9 hours to complete. These are designed to give you an introduction to a topic without having to commit to a long study period.
2014 sees the introduction of Faith Matters. This is a series of short video presentations designed to be used by groups. They were developed in response to requests from some Catholic schools who wanted to work together on Professional Development for Relgious Education.
TCI is committed to using technology to make courses accessible and engaging.
Not everyone lives close to a main centre or is able to attend classes. With distance education, you can study in the comfort of your own home with one to one tutoring, or get together as a group. Distance education is available for most courses. See the distance timetable to find out what is offered this year.
If you study by distance you will receive a module book and a book of readings. You will send in work to a tutor who will comment on your work and give you guidance. More information
